LGBT Workplace Rights | MLK

April 7, 2017

This week we remember one of the most influential people in American History, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who 49 years ago was shot and killed. He fought valiantly for the rights of black Americans; to get equality for all in our country.

Today we are still fighting many of the same battles he fought in the 60s.

We also talk about the workplace rights of the LGBTQ community and their protection under title Vll which says employers can't discriminate based on sex which is now interpreted as including sexual orientation.
